Hello and happy Sunday!
I’m sure that you know your thoughts, feelings and actions are all linked. They are connected just like your arms and legs are to your body.
And together they - your thoughts, feelings and actions - can help to create a positive or negative experience for you.
But did you know, you can also choose or decide what to do with those with those experiences?
Your super powers can help you turn an experience into a positive one or a negative one.
Imagine it’s raining outside.
James:
Thinks: “this is crap. I can’t go outside and have some fun..”
Feels: Bored, frustrated and grumpy.
Action: He sits inside all day, staring out of the window and sulking
Sarah on the other hand:
Thinks: “I guess I can’t play outside. I’ll see if I can have a friend come over instead.”
Feels: Happy, hopeful and excited
Acts: She invites a friend over and they have fun together.
Who do you think feels better? James or Sarah? Obviously Sarah is feeling better as she has found a way to make the best of the situation.
In real life though you will get caught up in situations that are more complex than rainy days.
But it is important to know that how you react to something is your own choice and within your own powers.
If you develop healthy habits to make the best of every situation, you will build mental superpowers that will help you handle almost any challenge that life throws your way.
Imagine being able to laugh or smile at every difficult situation life throws at you while other people get grumpy or frustrated?
So I am going to share with you here over the coming weeks how to use your superpowers, to think big, feel amazing and act brave so you can become the best version of yourself!
